I _really_ want sport mode on all the time, and fogs to run all the time. I will also check out this bimmercode app, thanks for the tip. it's worth noting that according to the Carly people, this adapter doesn't work with any other obd apps on your phone :/ I did all of this while the engine was running to keep the voltage up (I sat without it running for the first few minutes then the app started telling me my voltage was <12.5v and to run the car w/ accessories to up it not a negative, I needed the a/c at the time anyhow) TBH the option descriptions can be confusing at times best to x-reference with their website or contact them if you have a question changing the digital gauge options (I forget the ECU name) reboots the ECU in charge of that, so your gauges die and you lose your time setting which causes a yellow triangle just set the time and yer good I had to reconnect each time I set the coding for each ECU, as it seemed to drop the connection (probably some sort of reboot thingy happening in the background) I never got a green light on the adapter, it was always red run the app and try to connect to see if it works (you'll see yellow flashing lights if the adapter + your phone are communicating) The parameter monitoring and diagnostics are cool too, and I like the interface enough (I'm a UI guy so it's, like, it's ok I suppose).Ĭouple of notes for those who stumble upon this thread in the future: Lite version is identical, but with all the SWFL (flash firmware files) removed, which are only needed for Flashing (not coding), so it weighs in at only 25 of the size. I'll admit, for $80 + $45 it was a bit of an excessive expense just to defeat some bongs, change the light settings, and get a shift indicator in the digi gauge, but it was pretty cool to use. Different between Psdzdata Full and Lite: If you’re not going to flash the ECU and just doing FDL coding then the lite version is all you need. Ive used both and returned carly and got a refund on the app.I ended up using it and it worked, all the listed things that apply to my particular car (not everything they SAY it can do, but what is available for my car as spec'd) worked perfectly. (383) And then when last step of flash ,start TA execution. Bimmercode has more options and has an advanced mode so you can go through the folders and select activ/inactiv etc the same way you can in esys. After cic retrofit i tried active navi intel stwpatherv2 way i tried flash hucic with last psdzdata 62.5 but when i tried tal calculation got warning 1 WARNING events during TAL generation. For G-series, you are mostly limited to head unit coding (eg, removing disclaimers). Bimmercode is good for casual coder of F-series. I suggest returning that and downloading the bimmercode app instead of carly. Anything that Bimmercode can do can also be done and more with E-sys.
